Lancome’s radiance boosting Genifique collection is helping to raise money for life-saving children’s research and treatment. Today – Friday, October 25th, is national Genifique Day, the brand says. For every bottle of Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate or Genifique Eye Light-Pearl sold at participating Lancome counters nationwide, Lancome will donate $7 directly to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Last year, in just one day, more than $200,000 was raised for St. Jude. Every purchase makes a difference. For every fourteeen bottles sold, platelet count tests for two patients are paid for; five bottles can buy a family one day of meals. And three bottles will provide rehabilitation weights to help improve patients’ quality of life. Celebrity Makeup Artist Mickey Williams, who will be hosting an event at the Macy’s Herald Square Lancome counter in support of Genifique Day. If you’re in New York City, starting at noon today, Macy’s will be offering a complimentary, professional makeup application session and personal product recommendation consultation from Williams. Richard Shadyac Jr., CEO of ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, commented: “St. Jude is grateful for the support of partners like Lancome that have embraced our lifesaving mission to find cures and save children battling cancer and other deadly diseases. Thanks to Lancome and its loyal customers, St. Jude will continue to provide world-class treatment and share the breakthroughs we make so doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.”
